To paraphrase the beginning of the Declaration of Independence; When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which connected them to another, a decent respect to the opinions of Mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation. In 2020, no clearer truth exists than the words of the flawed men who felt the level of disconnection and dysfunction from their brethren, the Crown of England and its people. America is experiencing the same level of disconnect and dysfunction today, worse than at the height of our Civil War and extremely more complex with the current public health pandemic, economic dysfunctionality, communications disinformation, malfunctioning political processes and the enabled destruction of statutory and Constitutional laws and norms. The participants in all great societal change came to a common acknowledgement of the environmental conditions surrounding them, the objective facts about the divergent sides of their opposition and the urgent acceptance that actions and resolutions must be grounded in these truths.
